Ya, Like I Needed To Cast On Something New...

I cast on the Silver Creek Gansey yesterday. Yep this is the one I had started last week trying to use the yarn that I got at TKGA conference that didn't work. I just couldn't get the pattern out of my head (and of course Kate of the excellent taste cast it on and it looks fab!! She had it at SnB on Thursday).

I ended up using good ol' Paton's Classic Wool. Nothing really beats a nice basic worsted weight yarn, that's for sure!

I breezed thru the tubular cast on this time (hmmm, that should've been a clue with the other yarn... it was a nightmare to knit!)

I'm pretty much planning on keeping this pattern as is with the exception of the bottom ribbing. It's supposed to be 2-1/2"... and I'll probably shoot for 1-1/2". I don't want it to pull in too much.

As you can see from the photo at the top, I had no issue with my camera today. I don't get it. Some days it won't work and some days it does. So when it works, I'll have pictures and when it doesn't, I won't.

Happy Knitting!!!

It looks like you've chosen a good, basic yarn to show off a pretty sweater. Good luck!!! I can't wait to see how it progresses.
