Thanks so much for all the comments about the ill fitting fishy dress. I'm ignoring it for now (tho' I tried adjusting the bust darts a bit) and I made a simple summer skirt on Friday (which I love). Basically it comes down to just being lazy. I really had hoped that I could just take a pattern and sew it up. Nope, gotta take the time to adjust for fitting. Unlike knitting where I can just cast on. If I see it's not gonna fit, I can frog and change it easily. Sewing takes a lot more prep work. hrumph. Patience is not my virture.
I also got my oven fixed! Yay!!!! So it was a busy day. (so yes, Lauren, posting twice in one day does give me a day off. 5 posts a week is enough. Unlike some people who think you only need to post once every 6 weeks...)
It was a fairly quiet weekend here, which was nice. I got some much needed housework done, Matt didn't have a race (but he still spent about 8 hours on the bike over the weekend as he has two tough races coming up the next two weeks). I took it easy and didn't get a lot of knitting done, but I'm just about to start the V neck shaping on the Not So High Neck Cabled Tank:
I should have the front done today.
No Tour coverage today, no baseball games (Home Run Derby tonight) so I'm not sure what I'll do while I knit. Maybe I'll do some more housecleaning...
Happy Knitting!
Starting my day off at Knitting Park has become as routine as drinking a tasty latte from the Tassimo machine. Don't judge me because I am as addicted to your blog as I am to caffeine! :-P
ReplyDelete"Unlike some people who think you only need to post once every 6 weeks...)" HEY, I resent (scratch that) Resemble that remark ;-). I'm a roller coaster kind of person in the blogging and knitting department that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteNow you have me perusing EBay for the Knitters summer 2004 issue, I love the Tank!
Ditto what Lauren said! The tank is looking great.
ReplyDeleteCould you salvage the fishy dress by turning it into a straight skirt?
